Flexible Couplings / Rubber Couplings / Rubber Reducers
These rubber couplings offer numerous advantages when connecting PVC pipes to each other, but especially when used with materials that are difficult to bond, such as stainless steel, PP, PE, concrete, and polyester. The couplings are suitable for all low-pressure pipes, such as those used in sewage, sanitary, and rainwater drainage systems.
Because the couplings are very flexible, they are also ideal for use when pipes are not perfectly compatible. Flexible couplings can also be quickly disassembled for system modifications, test setups, or temporary installations, without the labor-intensive and harmful gluing of joints.
Flexible couplings also allow pipes to be connected at temperatures below freezing, where gluing is not possible.
In the event of burst pipes (e.g., due to frost), flexible couplings can often be used to make a quick (emergency) repair. Besides the ease of pipe installation, an additional advantage is that the flexibility of the rubbers dampens vibrations (from pumps, for example). Therefore, they also significantly contribute to preventing stress-related breakage in PVC pipes.
Larger diameters in EPDM up to 975 mm are available upon request. The couplings are of very high quality with robust hose clamps and are suitable for repeated use.
